Ray Prince MMus, PgDip, professional drummer and percussionist,
is the founder of and driving force behind Gospel Revisited Project.
Ray is deeply passionate about gospel music and the impact that it and its protagonists had on the wider African-Caribbean diaspora.

Ray’s love for gospel music grew from watching his two older brothers play music within the community. He was inspired to read music and develop his own skills, through watching his brothers’ expertly play their instruments, spreading enjoyment, peace and joy through audiences.

He realised the importance of music throughout the human experience, especially within his own community and at church.

Ray is an accomplished and respected musician, with an impressive portfolio; he has played with a huge range of community organisations, gospel artistes and celebrities including Beyonce Knowles, Usher, Ruby Turner, Beverly Knight and Usher.

Ray believes that he, and others of his generation, have a responsibility to keep these standards and classics alive, through reinvention with love and care; ensuring that the legends of gospel are celebrated now and for many years to come.
